A truly
once in a lifetime dog. Sierra's enthusiasm, infamous full body
wag, and happy, happy, happy love of the world, puts a smile
on the face of everyone that she meets. She is everything a
lab should be -- a nice typey girl with the closest that I have
ever seen to perfect structure. She floats on air when she moves
and has natural drive combined with an outstanding ability to
run and jump. She has an incredibly outgoing personality. Her
tail is rarely still and she can work the crowd in her own irresistable
way. She is everyone's best friend and instantly transfers her happiness to whomever she is with. She is fast, bold, and instinctive, with a "can do"
attitude, and lives life to the full.
She gained
her International Conformation Championship before the age of 2 and is now
excelling at Agility where her talent never ceases to amaze
me. She is a CPE Agility Champion and a 6 time AKC Agility Champion, four in the regular class and 2 in the preferred class.
In 2010 she ranked #12 AKC agility labrador in the USA and #4 in the Country for agility "Double Q's"! In 2011 she was ranked #5 AKC championship agility labrador in the USA after only 9 months of the 12 months competing, when I made the decision to move her down to a lower jump height "preferred" agility class. She closed out the year in the #13 championship slot in spite of only competing for those 9 months of the year in the Championship class. Moving her to the lower jump height meant that she now had to start back from the beginning in Novice Agility but it took her all of 1 month to advance back to the top level excellent class - Since then she has gained 2 more championships, along the way, getting 10 consecutive double Q's (perfect days).. In 2011, she was ranked the #1 agility labrador in the preferred class for both points and double Q's. She is quite the inspiration and forever a thrill to compete with... I'm honoured to run with her.
On April
30th, 2007 she gave us the gift of a wonderful litter of 9.
It still brings tears to my eyes to see Sierra's beautiful temperament and zest for life and fun in her babies.
